To ensure energy access and climate action in the rural and off-grid communities of Kenya by innovating and distributing clean-energy solutions and climate-smart technologies.

What we are about What we are about

We are providing access to productive use of energy (PUE) assets in rural areas.

  • Bridging the gap in clean tech

    We use our traction to mobilize funds to install solar micro-grids that support the water-energy-food nexus among small-scale farmers.

  • Access to markets

    We are creating vibrant markets by linking available rural markets to energy technology providers. We map out the locations of these farmers and end-users and assess their viability to optimally benefit from existing technology.

  • Affordable cold chain

    We provide affordable and reliable solar-powered refrigerators for households, business and healthcare use.

  • Capacity Building

    We train rural women on how to use renewable technologies such as solar pumps, solar fridges, and clean cookstoves. We also train youth to be repair technicians of solar technologies.

Meet Professional Team

Norah Magero is the Co-founder and CEO of Drop Access. Besides that, she is a multi-award winning social entrepreneur and a graduate of the University of Nairobi, school of Mechanical and Manufacturing engineering. She is passionate about developing technologies that contribute to Africa’s sustainable development goals.

James is the Co-founder and CTO of Drop Access Limited. He is a Mechanical Engineer and Healthcare Manager. James is also a graduate from the University of Nairobi and Strathmore University. James loves tinkering and is especially passionate about innovating products that solve healthcare problems in Africa

Technical Assistant at Drop Access Limited M.Sc. renewable energy 6 years’ experience in off-grid solar system and productive use of energy.

Joseph Gaturuku is a Project Officer with over 3 years’ experience in field project implementation. Drop access values of fostering climate smart agriculture, access to clean water and empowerment of youth and women resonate and align with my vision of sustainable communities.
